My name is Emilie Toldam Futtrup (b. 1996), and I am a photojournalist and visual storyteller based in Aarhus, Denmark.

I have used photography and videography as a way of telling stories since my teenage years, always drawn to people, relationships and the quiet moments that unfold in between. What began as curiosity has grown into a deep commitment to documenting life with honesty, sensitivity and respect.

I hold a BA in photojournalism, and the photojournalistic mindset is at the core of everything I do. Whether I am working with portraits, long-form documentary projects, weddings or family stories, my approach remains the same: to observe closely, work with presence, and create images that feel true to the people and situations in front of the camera.

Across different genres, I am interested in authenticity rather than perfection — in images that capture atmosphere, emotion and connection, and that allow space for both strenght and fragility.
